Biography
My name is Joann Loftus and I have been making art every since I can remember. Having grown-up in a creative household with a mother who is a professional artist and art teacher/instructor, I've always had the influence of art in my life! Although I grew up in the midwest, I attended college in the state of Washington. I majored in art and interior design, and worked as an interior designer in Washington and California. I’ve since moved back to my native “Hoosier” state of Indiana.
Whimsies & Folksies is a business I started over a decade ago.. whimsical folk art, mixed-media, handcrafted items, and found objects. I sell my art and handcrafted items on eBay and Etsy. I'm a member of the Indianapolis Art Center, where I continue my education by taking a variety of art classes. I'm also a member of the Southside Art League.
